Safe Horizon is the go-to expert for child abuse in all five boroughs of New York City. Last year, the agency served over 9,000 children and their families. Each borough of New York City has a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) where children who have experienced sexual abuse or severe physical abuse can get the care and resources they need. The CAC’s multidisciplinary team includes law enforcement, child protective specialists, prosecutors, medical professionals, counselors, and victim advocates.
